26 work platforms improve conditions
Solar, a Danish sourcing and service company for electrical, industrial, ventilation, air conditioning and energy solutions, needed an ergonomic solution for their new warehouse for small goods handling. 26 simple work platforms now improve working conditions for their employees.
The challenge
Solar had just built a new warehouse for small goods handling. The company has always been committed to a good working environment, and as the work tasks here were quite repetitious, a solution was needed so that all their employees could work ergonomically correct at the fixed packing tables they had to stand at.
The solution
The solution was to add 26 work platforms to their workstations, so that each worker could work at the right height and put as little strain on their bodies as possible. It also makes it easier to reach into deep boxes they are packing.
A single handrail is attached to the platform so that employees do not fall from a height if they move too far backwards. This also provides a good shielding of the workstation and the possibility of placing roll cages for cardboard and other items between the stations.
Solar put the lifts in location, and then Translyft's service technicians came and connected them up.
The result
When so many workstations are put together in a small space, a calm and aesthetic arrangement is required. As a result, the 26 workstations are all identical, and the neutral grey work platforms mix in nicely with the surroundings.
Each worker can easily change the height of the work platform and work at the best height for them. This improves ergonomics and makes it easier for them to work efficiently throughout the day.
"We are very happy with the solution we have received from Translyft. The simple work platform ensures our employees a good working environment, which is very important to us."
