Loading bay lift

A TRANSLYFT loading bay can be described as a platform equalizing the height difference between an unloading/loading vehicle and the warehouse floor. The loading bays are designed and equipped to handle large loads.

The loading bay is built for heavy loads and allows for fast loading and unloading of the goods. The entire delivery of goods can be loaded or unloaded in a few operations which saves a great deal of time.

Please note that all our loading bays are built on a standard lifting table and designed for your application to meet your needs for a loading bay.

Loading bays are suitable for e.g:

  • Loading and unloading trucks or containers
  • For a difference in levels in warehouses, stores, basements, staircases etc.
  • Handling goods and pallets
  • Multi-height vehicle docking
  • Roll cage lifting
  • Buildings without raised docks

Our loading bays can be manufactured in ATEX, Hygienic Design, galvanized steel, stainless steel and painted steel.

FAQ

See the most common questions about loading bay lifts

  • What is a loading bay?
The area where you efficiently can transport goods from vehicles to buildings.

Loading bay is a space constructed specifically to load or unload items safely and efficiently from vehicles to a building. It usually includes equipment like loading bay lifts, dock levellers or ramps for bridging height inequalities and improving safety, ergonomics and workflow.

  • What is a loading bay lift?
A loading bay lift safely moves items between ground level, loading docks, and vehicles of varied heights.

A loading bay lift is a lifting solution that has been designed to move goods safely between ground level and vehicles with different heights. It improves loading efficiency, safety, and ergonomics by providing a stable and controlled transfer platform for goods handling.

  • Are loading bay lifts suited for outdoor use?
    Yes.

TRANSLYFT loading bay lifts can be configured for outdoor applications using galvanized steel or stainless steel.

  • Are loading bay lifts available in galvanised steel?
    Yes.

We offer galvanised steel variants for outdoor use of the loading bay. The galvanized steel is more weather-resistant than a version in painted steel.

  • Can the lifts be customised?
    Absolutely.

Every loading bay lift is customised to match the application, load requirements, dimensions, and operational environment. You can even try it out for yourself in our product configurator here:

TRANSLYFT are certified ATEX specialists and can manufacture explosion proof loading bay lifts.

Loading Bay Lifts Built for Modern Logistics

Warehouses, logistics centres and industrial facilities require efficient loading and unloading operations, where uptime and workflow continuity have a direct impact on productivity. A TRANSLYFT loading bay lift is engineered to connect vehicle loading bays and internal transport systems safely and efficiently, while moving huge items precisely and smoothly.

When looking for some sort of levelling solutions it is often a choice between traditional dock levelers and a loading bay lift. The difference is that a dock leveller only compensates for minor height differences and a loading bay lift provides full vertical movement. The loading bay lift creates a far more flexible solution when working with varying truck heights, containers, roll cages, pallets, and goods handling equipment is required. The result is faster loading operations, improved ergonomics, and a safer working environment.

Because every workflow is different, all TRANSLYFT loading bay lifts are customised to the application and operational requirements. We understand that every lift is unique, and our solutions are developed to support not only reliability and efficiency, but also the future readiness of your workflow.

Detailed Specifications

TRANSLYFT loading bay lifts are ideal for a wide range of industrial applications and can be tailored to specific loads, traffic volumes, and installation conditions.

Typical capacities range from 1,000 kg to 6,000 kg, and travel heights from 550 mm to 2,000 mm allow for seamless transitions between many vehicle and dock levels. The platform's dimensions can be adjusted to suit the application, ranging from 900 mm to 5,000 mm in length and 650 mm to 3,000 mm in width.

Every loading bay lift is based on a strong hydraulic scissor lift design for maximum stability and longevity.

A TRANSLYFT loading bay lift always comes with safety trip bars, mechanical maintenance locks, and hose burst valves. There are other safety features available, including:
• Anti-slip platform surfaces.
• Rails and Gates• Net mesh, bellows, or roller curtains.
• Beacon lights and sound signals

TRANSLYFT provides a variety of material and design options for specialized industries and demanding manufacturing settings, such as:
