Applying EN 1570 Safety Requirements
To ensure safe operation, the lift must be configured according to the relevant EN 1570 safety requirements. These requirements help reduce the risk of slipping, falling, or unsafe access around the lift.
Anti-slip platform surface
To reduce the risk of slipping during operation, the platform is equipped with a checker plate surface. This anti-slip surface provides safe footing for the operator while handling goods on the platform.
Fall protection with handrails
Because the travel height exceeds 500 mm, fall protection must be added. Handrails are installed around the platform to prevent operators from falling during lifting operations.
Dock edge protection
A goal post fixed to the platform acts as a horizontal barrier. This solution helps prevent falling from the dock edge when the lift is positioned at the lower landing level.
Access control with safety gate
To ensure full protection around the platform, a safety gate is installed. The gate helps prevent accidental access and reduces the risk of falling while the lift is in use.
Final Goods Lift Configuration
The goods lift is now configured with the necessary safety measures and is suitable for use in a non-public working area. By combining the correct platform size, load capacity, and safety features, the lift supports efficient and safe material handling.
